Derawan Islands

Derawan Islands is an archipelago located in the Berau Regency, East Kalimantan. On the island there are a number of nautical tourism captivating, one of the Sea Park Down by the foreign tourists, especially the world-class diver.

Islands Derawan has three districts, namely, Derawan Island, Maratua, river craft and river craft, Berau.

At least there are four islands in the archipelago, the island that is Maratua, Derawan, Sangalaki, and Kakaban animals that ditinggali rare turtle and green turtle shell.

Derawan in the Islands, there are several coastal ecosystems and small island which is very important, namely coral reefs, the mangroves and yet (mangrove forests). In addition, many species are protected in the Islands Derawan such as green turtle, turtle shell, whales, dolphins, kima, coconut crab, cow, fish barakuda and some other species.
